Q&A with Karen Norton, Headteacher at Junction Farm Primary School

Junction Farm is a primary school based in Stockton-on-Tees with a well-deserved reputation as one of the ‘The Top 200 State Primary Schools’ in the UK.  With a firm belief that technology can improve teaching and subsequently learning outcomes for children, Headteacher Karen Norton tells us how technology has enabled the school to increase pupil engagement.

Why did you introduce Clevertouch screens at Junction Farm?

We were going through a complete renovation process and as part of it we wanted to introduce 55” – 65” Clevertouch interactive displays to ensure that our students had access to the very best educational software and technology in their classrooms.

Was the installation disruptive?

We were keen for the Clevertouch screens to be installed during the renovation process so that the students could arrive at school after the works had been completed and start using the new interactive technology immediately. The project management team at Castle Grange Technologies managed the installation process, completing the work on time and to a high standard.

How have things changed since the completion on the renovation work?

Since the install I have seen many benefits to using Clevertouch.  Our teachers have reported that the technology has helped them to create exciting lessons and that student engagement has improved.  I am delighted with the impact the technology is having at our school.
